"We visited in Aug 2015 and stayed in the Adams House at the Mountain Lodge in a 1BR unit. 2 bathrooms, accommodations for 8 people, fully equipped kitchen, living room/dining room area, washer/dryer, & fireplace! Coming from a Lodging background it takes a lot to impress me, but this gem did! From the spacious rooms, to the cleanliness of the facility, friendliness of staff, and variety of activities for all age groups, they got it right! "We chose the inn as we're from near Ludlow in the UK and this was Vermont's equivalent. The Inn looked a little homely and the room was maybe not as beautifully furnished as other inns we'd used in New England. We wondered what we'd let ourselves in for. Although the room was on the cool side, things warmed up and so did we. Our stay was amazingly comfortable and the room was huge with two enormous beds. Had a great night's sleep.
The best part of all was the amazing breakfast and the lovely people. We had pancakes and local maple syrup. The coffee was good too. The innkeeper was incredibly helpful even for advice on places near and far. The location is wonderful with the lovely Echo Lake over the road. It is a popular venue for weddings so, probably best to ask if you want to enjoy the peace and quiet we had. Either way, you're assured of a real Vermont welcome and hospitality." great reviews - map
